The Moon through the Abyss (Parts 1 - 4)

The Moon through the Abyss (Parts 1 - 4)

'The Moon through the Abyss' explores the relationship between how light within a landscape painting can be manipulated and to some extent abstracted so that it becomes almost lost with in the painting itself.  By beginning with the horizon and simply adding in the different positions of the moon or sun, it becomes noticeable that hints of romanticism start to come in to play.  With the hazy layers, deep tones of the sky and the constant pushing and pulling with the drawings, you are taken around the paintings in a journey. Due to the size of them, you tend to find yourself staring, getting closer or further away which is allowing you the viewer to become 'lost' within them.
